By replicating the electrical interface, shaft design, and mounting dimensions, the replacement encoder can be installed without changes to control logic or system configuration, ensuring rapid restoration of accurate position feedback.

Model CEV582M-10088 is a multi-turn absolute rotary encoder with SSI output, delivering 4,096 steps per revolution and 4,096 revolutions. It uses a Gray code output with programmable parameters via TRWINPROG, and operates on a wide 10–30 V DC supply. The encoder features a robust ZB36 flange (15 mm thick), solid 10 mm shaft with D-cut, 19.5 mm length, and a radial M23 12-pin male connector. Designed for demanding industrial environments, it offers IP65 protection, an operating temperature range from -20 °C to +75 °C, and supports options including counting direction (CCW), F/R high-active, presets, and SSI data bits configuration. The unit also meets UL standards for USA and Canada and has a MTTFd ≥ 200 years (T=45°C, DC=0).
