A custom replacement encoder is available for CEV582M-10167, developed to match the original mechanical interface and electrical behavior for direct retrofit use. This replacement is intended for service and maintenance applications where absolute multi-turn position feedback over an industrial fieldbus is required. By providing a stable and predictable lead time, it supports fast recovery of equipment without changes to the existing control architecture.

The encoder communicates via PROFIBUS DP using binary coding. It delivers 8,192 steps per revolution and supports 4,096 revolutions, ensuring reliable absolute position data for closed-loop control systems. Operation is supported within a 10–30 V DC supply range. Parameterization is handled via the interface, allowing configuration within standard PROFIBUS environments. The electrical design is suitable for installations requiring consistent data transmission and deterministic fieldbus behavior.

The mechanical design features a solid shaft with D-cut (D10, L19.5) and a ZB36 flange, enabling direct installation without additional adapters. The housing provides IP65 protection and supports operation from –20 °C to +75 °C. Electrical connection is implemented through radial cable glands (1× M12 and 2× M16), supporting common industrial wiring practices. The design is suitable for continuous operation in demanding automation environments.

This replacement focuses on functional equivalence for the PROFIBUS interface while preserving mounting dimensions, resolution, and electrical compatibility.
