CES582M-10015 Custom Replacement (ALT:CES58M-00015)

The CES582M-10015 1:1 Custom Replacement Absolute Encoder is designed as a fully compatible substitute for existing SSI multiturn encoder applications. The replacement solution preserves the original encoder’s mechanical interface, electrical characteristics, and communication behavior, allowing direct installation without any changes to the mounting structure, wiring, or PLC configuration.

This model provides 25-bit SSI (Gray code) output, combining 8,192 steps per revolution with 4,096 multiturn revolutions for accurate absolute position feedback. Parameterization is supported via TRWinProg, enabling flexible configuration to match the original encoder settings. The SSI interface timing is aligned with a 20 µs mono time, ensuring reliable and stable data transmission in real-time motion control systems. The encoder operates on a wide 10–30 VDC supply range and supports advanced functions such as Preset 1 + Preset 2 and F/R direction control (high-active).

From a mechanical perspective, the encoder features a Ø12 H7 blind shaft combined with a DMS torque support flange (63 mm bolt circle), ensuring precise alignment and vibration resistance. Electrical connection is achieved via a radial M23 12-pin male connector (0° code, CCW), maintaining full wiring compatibility. With an IP65 protection rating and an operating temperature range of –20 °C to +75 °C, the replacement encoder is suitable for harsh industrial environments.
