Technically, GEMMH.P203P32 is a multiturn optical absolute encoder featuring singleturn 13-bit resolution and multiturn 16-bit resolution. It provides absolute position data via a Profibus-DP interface, with programmable rotation direction (CW/CCW) and optional parameterization for steps per revolution, number of revolutions, preset values, scaling, and rotation direction. Integrated diagnostic functions detect position or parameter errors and continuously monitor multiturn sensing for high reliability. A DUO-LED status indicator integrated in the bus cover provides immediate operational feedback. The encoder powers from 10–30 VDC, includes reverse polarity protection, and completes initialization in approximately 250 ms.
