Technically, this encoder configuration provides 4,096 steps per revolution and 4,096 revolutions, supporting high-resolution absolute position data for complex motion sequences. The PROFIBUS DP interface with an RS485 physical layer enables robust cyclic data exchange in distributed control systems, even in electrically noisy environments. A programmable code structure allows the encoder to be aligned with existing controller settings, avoiding changes to PLC logic during replacement.
