Today, we’re introducing an encoder model: FG40KK-5000G-90G-NG. This heavy-duty incremental encoder is widely used in the iron, steel, and metallurgy industries. This article focuses on its replacement solution — we just completed the development yesterday.
Here’s what happened:
A client commissioned us to develop a replacement for the FG40KK-5000G-90G-NG encoder. As it turned out, we had already developed the solution two years ago. Since this was a new client unaware of this, we clarified the situation.
Swiftly, we completed the manufacturing of this replacement solution. The entire solution adopts 1:1 parameter replication of the original product, enabling it to seamlessly replace the original model in applications. The image shows the physical unit of our replacement product.


In recent years, demand for replacement encoder development has grown significantly.
