In the past few days, there have been many inquiries about encoder replacements. For some unknown reason, most of the feedback indicates that the original parts have been discontinued, and people are looking for custom substitutes, including this model, HOG163DN1024I. It is an incremental encoder with a large aperture and a sturdy metal casing, with the maximum aperture reaching up to 75mm.
It is said to have also been discontinued, with a high-level domestic spare parts inventory. Here we are, the customer requires development and customization according to 1:1 dimensions. We spent three weeks on product replication, starting from drawing to mechanical development, circuit design, and so on, with several modifications until the final product was determined. Yesterday, we finally delivered to the customer.
This HOG163 series of products has a rich pulse, and the 1024 is still more commonly used in China. The encoder's outer diameter is 158mm, and the inner diameter ranges from 38-75mm, meeting various application needs. We still followed these data for custom development, and after several weeks of effort, the delivery has been completed.
I don't understand why the official would discontinue such a good product, or whether there is a mistake in the information transmission. Moreover, since last year, there have been many requirements for product replacements. Because these products are all non-standard customization for us, with a small quantity and belonging to development-type products, they have brought us a lot of work pressure.
